Our proud neighborhood example and partner. We love going to Sasha’s Wine Bar around the corner and found that the heat uptake by their existing woven PVC shades was obnoxious. Transforming Lives. Inventing the Future. If there was an example of where our shades went to work hard immediately, this would be it. IIT’s history and architecture is firmly rooted in Bauhaus, and as such their glass, modernistic buildings have great historical significance. However, their single window panes with steel frames left much to be desired when it came to heat uptake in their offices and classrooms; during a cool Fall visit, the Halcyon staff experienced 90+ degree temperatures in their rooms! Our shades not only dropped their internal temperatures significantly, it did much to the external esthetics to the building, too (see photos in the gallery).
