August 4, 2009. Congressman Russ Carnahan visits Halcyon Shades to learn more about passive solar control, carbon emissions savings and to get feed back about the stimulus plan. After taking a tour of the plant, Congressman Carnahan held a roundtable discussion with Halcyon Employees and management. He addressed the effects that the stimulus package would have on Missouri and the progress being made on universal health care bill.
The no-holds-barred question and answer session, has convinced the entire Halcyon crew that they’re concerns are being heard and that they have a friend in Washington.
In the meantime, Congressman Carnahan became a customer by purchasing Halcyon Shades for his field office in Crystal City, Missouri. Halcyon shades reduce the energy used to cool the congressman’s south-facing office and also allow staff a measure of security by allowing them to clearly see who is entering the office.
