Halcyon Shades offers a wide variety of films into basic textures.
- Traditional Film - this film is thick and rigid. It is perfectly smooth and provides great clarity.
- Embossed Film - our embossed film (depicted to the left) has a “hex-pin” texture that makes it particularly strong and scratch resistant.
Halcyon Shades come in a variety of colors, but all colors come in two basic configurations:
- Silvered Film - from the inside, all Halcyon shades have a single deep-dyed color very similar to the tint of a good pair of sunglasses. The silvered film, however, has its micro-thin layer of metal on the outside creating a mirror effect. During daylight hours, silvered film allows you to see out while those outside cannot see in.
- Double Color Film - this film is tinted on both sides, but still has the metal layer sandwiched in between. While it does not have the mirrored finish, it still reflects infrared heat and is our most popular film configuration.
